What is the difference between a Standard & a Major service?

At Finlay Motor Group, we want you to get the most from your car, and that means having high quality work completed by our fully trained technicians to keep your car roadworthy. Whether your car needs a major service or minor repairs, Finlay Motor Group can complete the work for you at our manufacturer-approved service and repair centre. Our vehicle repair centre is fitted with diagnostic and repair equipment so that we can detect faults within your vehicle and repair them quickly and accurately.
We offer different servicing packages to make sure your vehicle gets the maintenance it needs, and we also offer seasonal health checks to ensure that your vehicle is perfectly set up for the ever changing seasons.

STANDARD SERVICE

  • Change engine oil & oil filter
  • Change interior pollen filter
  • Check and report all lights & bulbs, brake lights
  • Check and report on exhaust, battery & wipers
  • Check and report on tyre thread depths
  • Check and report on front and rear brake pads and discs
  • Check and report on brake, clutch, power steering & washer bottle fluid levels
  • Check and report on the suspension which includes shocks, struts, springs, bushes and links
  • Test drive
  • 12 month Road side assistance included (Ford and Volvo only)

MAJOR SERVICE

  • Change engine oil & oil filter
  • Change interior pollen filter
  • Change diesel filter of spark plugs (petrol) as per manufacturers guidelines
  • Check and report all lights & bulbs, brake lights
  • Check and report on exhaust, battery & wipers
  • Check and report on tyre thread depths
  • Check and report on front and rear brake pads and discs
  • Check and report on brake, clutch, power steering & washer bottle fluid levels
  • Check and report on the suspension which includes shocks, struts, springs, bushes and links
  • Rotate tyres (if required)
  • Software update (as per manufacturers guidelines)
  • Test drive
  • 12 months road side assistance included (Ford and Volvo only)
