Finlay Motor Group Continue Partnership with Sarsfields GAA Senior Team

In 2019, two of Kildare’s well-known names in business and sport joined forces to prompt the start of an exciting sponsorship deal. Finlay Motor Group were announced as the Sarsfield GAA Senior team sponsors, a position they have held continuously ever since. Both Finlay Motor Group and Sarsfield’s GAA have a long-standing history in the county of Kildare & being able to join them together was an honour for both parties.

Our 2019 Launch Night in Finlay Motor Group Showrooms.

The sponsorship was first launched two years ago in Finlay Motor Groups showroom, in Newhall, Naas, when the Managing Director of Finlay Motor Group, Gary Finlay, handed over new set of senior jerseys to Shirley Mulpeter, Chairperson of Sarsfields GAA. The famous green jerseys with the diagonal white stripe, which is known across the county, hosts the Finlay Motor Group logo across the front.

At the end of the 2020 season which was immensely impacted by the current pandemic, Sarsfields GAA announced that Padraig Brennan, a former Sarsfields & Kildare GAA player would be taking over the reigns as Senior Manager for the 2021 season. Padraig hosts an impressive CV with many playing accolades and previous roles as Kildare U21 and Senior selector.
Gary Finlay, Managing Director of Finlay Motor Group, commented:
“We are very excited to prolong our sponsorship with Sarsfields GAA Club. Both organisations have a long history in the county of Kildare which makes this partnership the perfect fit. Clubs like Sarsfields offer an invaluable service to their local community and this is the main reason that Finlay Motor Group are proud to be supporting such a wonderful club for the third year in a row.”
Both parties are very excited for the alliance and look forward to the year ahead.
On behalf of all at Finlay Motor Group, we would like to wish Padraig & the Sarsfields Seniors all the best for the coming season. We are excited to see them back on the pitch soon when it is safe for all.
